Where Money Really Comes From In Internet Marketing

Do you want to know where the money really comes from in internet marketing?

This may or may not be 100% true, but this is what I believe from what I see happening online…

1) High end call center-based phone sales: The richest internet marketers are using call centers to sell high end coaching. On the phone, you can sell people at extremely high prices like $5,000 to $10,000 and convert at a higher % than a sales page for a lowend product. Crazy huh? I’m not certain where it’s like this for everyone, but I believe this is where the bulk of income comes in for these folks.

As primarily an affiliate, I don’t use a call center. But if I found something I truly and 100% believed in promoting, I’d use a call center because you can make SO much money on the telephone. You wouldn’t even believe how much the top marketers are making with telephone sales.

2) Continuity: I’m addicted to continuity and recurring commission affiliate programs. I like them a lot, because you’re making money for things you did 5 months ago, 4 months ago, 3, 2, and last month. It’s like being in the insurance business and NOT like being in the car sales business. It doesn’t feel like you’re in sales at all. The highs and lows are only bonuses. Know what I mean?

You can really grow a business that gets you consistent monthly income with continuity. Especially those that have quality training or material (high retention rates), ones that pay out at least $45 per month, and ones that you truly believe in (so you’re leading people in a direction you feel good about). Continuity is easy to build while monetizing the listbuilding process and also creating low ticket lead-in offers and selling subscriptions on the backend.

3) Shell out the cash: The fastest way to get results online is buy spending money. If you don’t have it right now, it’s ok. I started my online business as a broke guitar teacher. BUT now I have the luxury of working hard about 2 hours per day. I started to work more hours per day to make more money, but you know what, spending money for me at least makes more money than doing it all myself. I manage 2 full-time people in the Philippines, run some ads, write copy here and there, blast email, and do stuff with my JV partners. My 2 full-time people (a guy and a lady) are great. They’re trained (took about a week to train them)… and they send daily updates. They do a great job and I tell them they do a great job. That’s about all there is to that.

The key is to educate yourself on what works, then apply it through outsourcing… so money is spent from time to time on training material. Although talking to my JV partners day-to-day is usually an incredible education in itself. I also spend money on tools, useful things, and advertising. Even when I was dirt poor, I sprung for putting ads on WSOs for $20. Now it’s AdWords, blog advertising, and outsourcing. Money just makes things happen fastest. I can’t stress that enough.

That’s honestly where I believe the money REALLY comes from in internet marketing. I hope this post helps you in earning a consistent full-time income online.

Dude this is great advice… I’ve gotten these call center calls a few times. Last week some dude called me and asked me to join a coaching program, but couldn’t give me any details about what it was!

He told me he would refer me to his supervisor to give me the details. I think call centers are a great idea, but the people doing the calling have to know what they’re selling – it’s harder to hang up a phone, then to leave an email, blog post, sales page…

    Jeff,

That’s funny he didn’t even know what he was selling… haha

There’s definitely a lot more sales power in the phone than any online medium.
