Sure there are some nice little honeyholes you can extract money from with SEO, PPC, blogging and article article marketing all on your own.

On the other side of the spectrum…

I often see marketers say “Oh that market is too saturated…it’s too competitive.”

You can win BIG in saturated markets, but it’s a whole different sport than marketing to little niches. You must know how to play the game.

There are advantages you may or may not know…and it’s allmatter of taking advantage of them.

1. “Too much competition” means too much money is being made in that market.

If there’s competition out the wazoo, then that’s a good thing because it tells you there’s a giant pile of cash in the center of it and you can make a small fortune without even being a major player in that market… just by getting a small fraction of the profit pie.

And…

2. You can turn your competition into joint venture partners so you can easily reach your market massively and cost effectively.

Sometimes all you have to do to gain allies is to tap your competition and make big deals. Suddenly the competition isn’t scary, because now they’re your partners.

3. You can pick and choose common hot buttons and psychology from successful ads and use them (ethically) for your own sales materials within the market.

That’s why copywriting has the word “copy” in it. It’s all about ethically and legally swiping what works.

It will be like riding on the shoulder of giants without them knowing it. They’ve spent money testing and testing their sales material. You save money by ethically swiping.

4. The last reason why going into a highly competitive market is good for you is because you’ll be able to easily compare successful business models and sales funnels in the market.

Do most of them offer a low end product up front? (this is what gets them into your funnel and makes a nice little sale)

What about the type of upsell OTOs? (addon profits)

Do people in the niche prefer membership sites? (predictable monthly profits)

Do they successfully sell big ticket items? (large profits)

How many different kinds of products does the market consume? (long term customers)

Now you know what will likely work for you in that market as well.

Don’t be afraid to think big. Only those who don’t know what to do to gain an advantage should be scared to venture into highly competitive markets.

I don’t care how saturated a market is… it’s not harder to market in, there’s often more potential for profit, easier ways to leverage resources…

You just have to know how to play the game.
