During the first part of this topic I discussed how to build a list by placing free special offers on forums. I also listed three forums to get you started, but before I ended Part 1 I promised to give you some tips on how to put the process on “steroids”. So, I’ll be discussing today some twist you can apply to the forum list building tactics to further multiply the sign-ups you get from it.
One forum where you can get a lot of targeted subscribers is WarriorForum.com, and as I mentioned in the previous post, it houses a marketplace, the WSO thread located just below the main discussion thread of the WarriorForum.
Now, here’s the twist to the forum list building tactics; instead of giving away a single product through the forum’s marketplace, giveaway two products. By giving away two products you’ll multiply the results you get by using the forum list building technique.
It doesn’t end there, what you should do next is to monitor the positions of your special offers. Every time one of your special offers fall off the first page you can easily “bump” it back to the top spot for maximum exposure.
You can repeat this strategy as much as you want. However, the best way to implement this is to know first hand how many subscribers you want to get from this campaign and compute your budget based on it.
Join Giveaway events
Here’s another method that you can do to build your list easily. Join giveaway events. By joining you’ll have a chance to explode your list by the hundreds especially if all of the JV partners are actively promoting the event. However, you should still check out the giveaway events that you join. Make sure that you have an idea of who the other contributors are. You don’t want to join a giveaway event where nobody is promoting. It beats the purpose of why we are joining the event in the first place.
Join giveaway events that are hosted by well known personalities in the industry. These are the events with the highest potential since a well known personality or IM guru hosting a giveaway event could attract long time marketers with large lists.
