How to Build Your List Fast – Part 1: Using Forum Special Offers

This is the first part on a series of list building strategies anybody can do fast and with little or no budget. Though it only requires little or no investment at all, the technique is still very effective, when used properly it can get you a lot of sign-ups per day depending on the forum traffic on which you apply this strategy.

This list building strategy uses forums, particularly the threads for selling or giving away free items. There’s a little work involve since you must look for forums with a special offers section or a buy and sell thread.

This strategy requires that you have an attractive product to give away to entice forum members to sign-up as subscribers. I recommend giving away MP3’s, webinar recording, traffic generation products, or outsourcing info products. I find that these products are good giveaways.

What you’ll do is look for such forums (with buy and sell or special offers thread), sign-up, and check out the requirements on posting advertisements and special offers. Before anything else, you must check if there are requirements to post your ads. If payment is required, check out how much, the same goes for total number of posts required.

Decide how much you’re willing to spend per day to get sign-ups from forums if they require payment for placing ads and don’t go beyond that budget unless you are really getting a tremendous return on your spending. If a minimum number of post is required before you’re allowed to post an ad, check out how many, you’ll want to do this fast and not spend too much time trying to keep up with forum requirements before you’re allowed to post ads.

After fulfilling the requirements, all you have to do is to place your ads. Be as positive about the features of the products you are giving away. Tell the forum members how it can help them. If you can afford the services of a copywriter, have him write you a decent sales copy and use that in the forum. Lastly, don’t forget to emphasize that they can get all the benefits from your product just by signing up to your list.

Now to give you a head start, here are three forums with marketplaces where you can put up an offer with a link back to your sign-up form.

1. www.Warriorforum.com – WSO (Warrior Special Offer)

Posting a WSO thread in Warrior Forum requires a fee of $20 and a membership to the forum’s war room currently at $37. WarriorForum.Com is great for building a list of Internet marketers since it is one of the most prominent Internet marketing forums in the planet.

2. www.Forums.DigitalPoint.com

The digital point forum features a buy, sell or trade thread where you’ll find the Freebies thread. This is where you should post your free offers to subscribers. The digital point forum is also good for building a list of those into Internet marketing.

3. www.Marketingdotcom.com/forum/

This forum is run by Mike Filsaime. Like Warrior Forum, it provides a special offers thread. Use this to post your offer giving away products to forum members.

The three forums above are just some of the forums that contain a marketplace. You are not limited to the three listed above. Look for as many forums as you can and use all of their marketplaces if possible. Doing this will explode your list fast.
