Internet marketers who love playing with their Xbox 360 consoles no longer need to change from console to PC to do Social Marketing. Starting November 17, 2009 they will be able to easily access Twitter, Facebook, Last.FM, and a few more sites directly from their game console.

News about the Social Web 2.0 sites coming to Xbox 360 through Xbox Live was announced as early as June this year. Last month a public preview was conducted by Microsoft through its Microsoft Connect program. Those who wanted to preview the new features were asked to sign-up and complete a survey, according to reports thousands were accepted.

However, those who missed the public preview for the Xbox Live’s social network integration don’t have to wait any longer since the feature will be available in a few days according to the official Xbox 360 site at www.Xbox.com

This move by Microsoft will broaden the use of the Xbox brand; it now goes beyond gaming and reaches towards a wider entertainment market.

Users of the Xbox live who are under 18 won’t be able to access the updates during the launch because parental controls are not yet in place; however Microsoft is now working on it and expects it to be completed within a few weeks.

For Internet marketers who are into social marketing and own an Xbox 360 this means that through the device, they can now literally work and play.
